The guide fits into the groove between the driver and the bushing to center the guide and drive it into place by putting pressure on the step top of the guide, not the seal area. Required for installing valve guides with a reduced diameter top such as our intake guides and exhaust guides for Evolution, Twin-Can & Evo Sportster.
